New age warriors!

In times of iniquity, they showed the light,
Battled long and hard against the powers,
Gave rise to a new world for many a poor
And etched their names into time's hours
They were the warriors of yore
Whose sweat and blood gave us today
But the word lays lost in the mires of now
Amongst new age warriors, who fight each day
These struggle to grapple with each new evil
As it creeps closer each day to man
Hounded by issues of work and love
This is how, they say, the new era began
Each man fights a battle of his own
Each day, in every way, he tries to survive
Against the forces of nature combined
To preserve the flailing remains of love, alive
And so you and I can join the ranks
Of the brave warriors with names of glory
For each day is a test of courage for us
And each win, will go down in history!
