A tiny little wish!

Oh for the world of the flowered lanes
Where nought but love be found
And oh for the magic of the twinkling eyes
In which sheer mirth is bound
Oh for the nights of starry light
With the moon shining tall and bright
And spreading those smiles all around
And brooks of joy, us surround
Oh for a life in that valley of love
Where wishes would all come true
And the leaves of happiness would rain on us
And rid us of all that’s sad and blue!
Oh for the hope that that day will come
When all shall live happy lives
And make their own little valleys of cheer
And with peace, they shall unite
Oh for the power of love in us
That still burns so salient and strong
And gives us the hope to hope for more
And takes us to the world we belong

Hope, my fair lady!

I searched the moors far and wide
Even thought of scouring the skies
But with every new effort I made
You seemed to make a faster escape
Every pause for that tiny morsel of food
Did nothing but scare me good
For i was afraid time was running out fast
And i just had to, had to, make it past
Past the armies of His standing in our way
And into your sweet arms where my joys lay
I have seen misery enough for a long lifetime
I now long to hear my bells of luck chime
To tell me that my days have come
And all my dreams will finally, reality become
As i pause to ponder this need of mine
A tiny wisp of light in my mind does shine
And i know I am closer to finding you
For desire is a form you, Hope, so true
I stumble a little in my haste to wake
But with two hands firm, this blessing I take
And promise to bid these long hours in wait
For the brighter dawn, with which you me bait
I rest my faith in thee, fair lady
And trust you to show me how happy I can be.

Kiss of a Dream...

Stolen glances from the corner of the eye
And a gorgeous blush nobody can deny
A little giggle and a book to cover the face
A chance look at him, about to brace
The sound of the bell never was more divine
The smile on his face made him oh so shine!
A dainty, quick step and I am almost there
And I could, forever, just sit and stare
Lose myself in those eyes so true
And go weak in the knees is all I could do
And he hastened to be by my side
And brush that strand from above my eye
With a naughty smile he swooped down on me
And with a gentle touch he laid his love on me
And as I fought to breathe in his world again
A smile crept past at where his lips had lain
I hurried, again, into those arms
That there were people around, I had no qualms
For he and I were in our place of dreams
So, gently, towards me, forward he leaned
And kissed away my happy tear
In place, his love, he made appear
And with arms entwined in sheer bliss
I lived that day, my dream this!

Romance of Solitude

Those lonely walks around the parks
Had scared me quite a bit
And the silence of those lonely nights
Made me go mad, they did!

Shivers ran up and down my spine
At the mere thought of me alone
For without the cheerful banter of people around
It seemed quite a deathly zone...

But as time flew by and troubles came by
Solitude seemed to be quite a friend
With more people came more misery
And with more misery, quicker, came the end

So I'd rather tread those pebbled paths
With but moonlight for company
And whisper sweet-nothings to the dainty night
Whence no people i have, any

Those heretofore painful moments of gloom
Seem different like my attitude
'Tis almost blissful, this lonely ride
It is, the romance of solitude!
