Those lonely walks around the parks
Had scared me quite a bit
And the silence of those lonely nights
Made me go mad, they did!
Shivers ran up and down my spine
At the mere thought of me alone
For without the cheerful banter of people around
It seemed quite a deathly zone...
But as time flew by and troubles came by
Solitude seemed to be quite a friend
With more people came more misery
And with more misery, quicker, came the end
So I'd rather tread those pebbled paths
With but moonlight for company
And whisper sweet-nothings to the dainty night
Whence no people i have, any
Those heretofore painful moments of gloom
Seem different like my attitude
'Tis almost blissful, this lonely ride
It is, the romance of solitude!
