Hope, my fair lady!

I searched the moors far and wide
Even thought of scouring the skies
But with every new effort I made
You seemed to make a faster escape
Every pause for that tiny morsel of food
Did nothing but scare me good
For i was afraid time was running out fast
And i just had to, had to, make it past
Past the armies of His standing in our way
And into your sweet arms where my joys lay
I have seen misery enough for a long lifetime
I now long to hear my bells of luck chime
To tell me that my days have come
And all my dreams will finally, reality become
As i pause to ponder this need of mine
A tiny wisp of light in my mind does shine
And i know I am closer to finding you
For desire is a form you, Hope, so true
I stumble a little in my haste to wake
But with two hands firm, this blessing I take
And promise to bid these long hours in wait
For the brighter dawn, with which you me bait
I rest my faith in thee, fair lady
And trust you to show me how happy I can be.
